When making the claim that God, supposedly the ?one true god,? exists in a realm free of testing and characterization, the religious invoke a model of truth statements that really ought not to exist. In this way the evidence necessary to believe any proposition on any other subject is devastatingly removed by sneaky tactics. How is it, I repeat the injunction of Sam Harris and Daniel Dennett, that this disjunct has slipped underneath the frontal lobes of thinking humans?

This is origin of the term faith: the conviction that a statement of truth can be made without commensurate evidence, it seems, has become its definition; a far cry from the Biblical warrant, derived with some form of solidarity: hope of things not seen
